Love - Fertility - Abundance

In Ancient Greece, figs were considered a sacred fruit and considered to be a symbol of love, fertility, abundance, and associated with the female genitalia. The main reason for this association is because figs are red and split at the seam, giving an overall vulvic vibe.

The Greek word for ‘fig’ is also the same as the word ‘vulva’ (sykon), in addition to other romance languages, such as Italian.

Each piece is handmade, individually cast and hand polished before being sent to its special owner, therefore each piece has its own unique quality.

    Care guide

Your piece of jewellery has been handcrafted, individually cast and polished therefore each piece will have slight variations which we believe adds to their unique beauty.

Please be careful with your chosen piece. Jewellery is very FRAGILE. Tiny links and ear post can bend or break if not looked after carefully. Please be mindful of this when you put on and take off your jewellery. Remember - jewellery should be the last to put on, and the first to remove. Please remove your jewellery before bed as sleeping positions can bend charms, necklaces and their tiny links into odd positions.

Sterling Silver - Please feel comfortable wearing your sterling silver piece everyday as the more you wear the less care is required. If you choose not to wear your piece daily, store in a cool, dark and airtight place. Please be aware that jewellery will tarnish over time and that some peoples skin is more acidic than others creating a tendency to tarnish more often. To prevent this from happening clean your sterling silver pieces periodically through gently using warm water and a mild, gentle soap, or a jewellery polishing cloth that is suitable for sterling silver.

Solid Gold - Please feel comfortable wearing your solid gold piece everyday, however be aware that solid gold is a soft metal therefore has a tendency to scratch easily. Please be aware that some peoples skin is more acidic than others creating a tendency to tarnish so please take this into consideration and use a occasionally gold cleaning cloth to brighten its beautiful lustre. You can purchase one of these from your local jeweller or online. When you are not wearing your jewellery make sure you store in a cool, dark and airtight place.

    IMPRESSIONS
What AGE can you take a fingerprint

Babies prints are not fully defined until they are 1 year, however it is completely up to the individual on whether they are looking for a memory of the tiny newborn fingerprint, or an actual defined print. I know that when my two are born I will be taking an impression as soon as possible so I can capture their tiny fingers.

Can I do DOUBLE sided impressions?
Yes, you have the choice of taking an impression of one print, or a double, back to back impression on the same mould at no extra cost.

I have had someone pass away very recently, can I still get an impression made?
Yes. Time is of course of the essence in these situations so I would recommend ordering as soon as possible and emailing hello@halimotif.com with the subject line as URGENT. Therefore, I know to contact you as soon as possible so we can get the impression kit sent out to you or the funeral home right away. If we decide that the impression will not reach you in time I will give you a full refund.

Can I get an INITIAL on my pendant?
You have the option to get an initial on the back of a single impression pendant. Please write on the card in the kit that will be posted to you.

Is there a time limit on returning the impression?
Yes, 3 months. Due to fluctuations of metal prices, impressions are to be returned for processing within 3 months from the day you placed your order. If you choose to return your impression after this date there may be a cost difference involved that you will have to pay.
