the poppy bracelet

$119.00

Keshi pearls are a type of freshwater pearl that have a unique history and origin. The word "keshi" is a Japanese term that means "poppy seed," and it is used to describe pearls that are irregularly shaped, and often have no nucleus, unlike other pearls.

The history of keshi pearls dates back to ancient China, where they were first discovered more than 2,000 years ago. At that time, the Chinese believed that pearls were formed in the brains of dragons, and they considered them to be symbols of wealth and prosperity.

The discovery of keshi pearls in Japan in the early 20th century revolutionized the pearl industry. Keshi pearls were first discovered by chance when Japanese pearl farmers were experimenting with culturing pearls. They found that when an oyster rejected the implanted nucleus, it would continue to secrete nacre around the irritant, creating a small, irregularly shaped pearl.

Keshi pearls have become highly sought after for their natural beauty and uniqueness and a testament to the beauty and wonder of nature. These beautiful, irregularly shaped pearls have captured the imagination of people around the world, and they continue to be valued for their rarity and natural beauty.

    Fingerprint Impression FAQs

What age can I take an impression?

At any age. Although babies prints are not fully defined until they are 1 year, however we have had beautiful impressions of babies that are only 5 months old. It is completely up to the individual on whether they are looking for a memory of the fingers, or an actual defined print. When Breanna's twins were born, I created a double back-to-back impression of their fingers as newborns for the memory.

Can I take a double impression

Yes, you are in complete control of how you take the impression. You have the choice of taking an impression of one single print, a double (back-to-back) impression, or as many impressions as you believe you can fit on the front of your chosen piece. If you are hoping to takethreeor more impressions I would suggest a size medium or large.

    How long is processing times?

Once I receive the impression back from you it takes 3-5 weeks.

If your order is urgent we can usually prioritise your order - please email hello@halimotif.com and we will place you order as urgent.

Is there a different material I can use if I need to take an urgent impression?

We have actually worked with orthodontist wax (from a dentist) or I have heard that air-dry clay may also work.

My pieces go by a particular size/weight, so I would suggest doing the print in the exact same size as you would like the pendant/design incase I am unable to cut it down well. And if you can try match the sizing on my website so there aren’t any extra cost for the price of metal used.

I already have an impression mould of a loved one, can I use this?

Yes. A silicone mould will be taken of your original mould so it stays as is, and then we will create duplicate pieces from the silicone mould. Please write this in the notes at checkout so I know that you do not need an impression kit sent. We will then email you providing details on how to safely post your impression.

    General FAQs

Do you sell in rose gold?

Yes, please see the selection in the drop down menu under ‘solid gold’. There are some other designs I can sell in rose gold also. Please email prior if this is something you would love.

Is Hali Motif jewellery ok for sensitive skin?

The .925 sterling silver and solid gold are both nickel free which is usually the element that affects sensitive skin. Therefore HALI MOTIF jewellery should be the perfect match for people with sensitive ears.
