impression instructions - putty.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING YOUR IMPRESSION
HALI MOTIF ensures sustainability through using biodegradable packaging and environmentally friendly practices. To continue this movement and have a positive impact on our environment, please may you return your impressions in the packaging it arrived in so we can return your finished piece in the same packaging.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Signet rings - please ensure the impression reaches the outline of the circle on the size guide so it stays in proportion with the ring.
- If you have a preferred mould, write number 1 on the top of the lid.
- If there are multiple impressions and one impression is faint compared to the others, it will be assumed that you were happy with all impressions and therefore be automatically processed.
- Breanna will contact you if she believes the impression looks defective enough to have to be retaken.
- If you have any concerns regarding your impression please contact Breanna here before returning your moulds.

PROCESSING TIMES
- Once I receive the impression kit back from you, the processing time is approximately 5 weeks
- If you would like to keep track as to whether I have received your returned impression, please keep the return tracking details located on the shipping label
- Due to fluctuations in metal pricing and materials we recommened returning your impression within 3 months. If there has been a price increase after the three months prior to you returning the moulds, there may be a small fee

TO BEGIN
- Lay out contents.
- Place the size guide on a firm surface where the impression will be taken

MIXING
- Make sure the person or animal you are taking the impression of is ready prior to mixing putty
- They way the impression looks is as your finished piece will. If you do not like the look of it, the working time of the putty is up to 1.5 minutes (including mixing time) so if you want to retake it you can within that time by re-rolling the putty.
- Roll the blue and white putty together until a uniform (light blue) colour is obtained

PREPARING IMPRESSION
SINGLE & MULTIPLE IMPRESSION
- Once the putty is in a uniform (light blue) colour, mould into your desired shape (a ball will create a round impression)
- Place onto on your ordered size of design (the size guide is recommended so that the impression does not become too thin)

DOUBLE IMPRESSION
- Once the putty is in a uniform colour, roll into a ball
BAR PENDANT & BAND RING
- Once the putty is in a uniform (light blue) colour, roll into a cylinder-like appearance and place on size
- Place the putty on your ordered size of design (the size guide is recommended so that the impression does not become too thin)

TAKING IMPRESSION
SINGLE IMPRESSION
- Press finger making sure that the impression does not go outside the outline of circle
- Signet rings - please ensure the impression reaches the outline of the circle on the size guide so it stays in proportion with the ring.
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Slowly and gently lift off finger

DOUBLE IMPRESSION
- Evenly press both fingers together on either side of the same ball at the same time
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Slowly and gently lift off finger and gentle place on size guide

MULTIPLE IMPRESSION
- Press fingers into the impression making sure that the impression does not go outside the outline of circle
- Signet rings - please ensure the impression reaches the outline of the circle on the size guide so it stays in proportion with the ring.
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Slowly and gently lift off

BAR PENDANT
- Press fingers making sure that the impression does not go outside the outline of rectangle
- Hold for 2 seconds
- Slowly and gently lift off finger/s

SETTING 
- Leave the impression to set for a minimum of 5 minutes at room temperature
- Once the putty is set, gently remove the impression from the size guide and place it into one of the black tins
- Repeat this process with the other putty. Two moulds are created for safety purposes

PACKAGING
- Once the putty is set, gently remove the second impression from the size guide and place it into one of the black tins

IMPRESSION KIT & SILICONE MOULD ORDERS
- Please only return your impression kit once you have ordered your final piece.
- When ordering your final piece, please write in the notes at checkout:
"Impression kit & silicone mould only - order number: ________"
- This way I can link the orders and refund you for the cost - If you forget to do this and an additional kit is sent, you will not be refunded for the original

RETURNING TO HALI MOTIF
- The return post bag (if in Australia) will be found under the packaging within the box.
- Place everything securely back into the box and into the return post bag (if in Australia) and return to HALI MOTIF.
